Title: Physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with ankle sprain Author: Christoforos Koupparis Location of clinical work placement: C.L.P.A (Centrum léčby pohybového aparátu) Aim The aim is a further understanding of an anterior talofibular ligament sprain. Generally in my thesis you can see how the structure of an ankle joint is and the function of the same joint by a kinesiological and a biomechanical point of view. Furthermore it will be described in details a therapy plan about that diagnosis. Summary My bachelor thesis contains two main parts, the general part and the special part. In the general part I analyze the branches of anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics for the ankle joint. In this part you can find also an overview of the ankle sprain and the physiotherapy examinations that need to be done in such situations. On the other hand, the special part is an extended report of my case study. There are included kinesiological examinations (initial-final) and the rehabilitation program that I followed day by day with my patient during my clinical work placement. Title: Physiotherapeutic care for patient with nervus facialis paralysis case study Objectives: The goal of this thesis is to establish theoretical basis related to the given problem, recording of related therapeutic sessions, initial and final kinesiological analysis and evaluation of therapeutic results for the case recorded. Methods: We look up relevant theoretical work related to facial nerves and muscles. We summarize known methods of approaching the problem. Practical section describes general cause peripheral paralysis of nervus facialis case study. There is an initial kinesiological analysis in this section, short term as well as a long term physiotherapeutic plan and recording of ten sessions with the patient along with final kinesiological analysis. Manual therapy for children - a summary

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize information about manual therapy for children. In the general part manual therapy from both Czech and foreign perspectives is described. It also provides a brief overview of relevant manual techniques, and summarizes the theories, that is to say how each technique works. The special part of the thesis is focused on pediatrics patients and describes the specifics of manual therapy with respect to the age of children. The development and growth of children is described and how therapists adapt certain techniques. The thesis then deals with contraindications of manual therapy in the pediatric population. Furthermore it summarizes positive experiences with manual therapy for the pediatric diagnoses. Part of the bachelor thesis is a case report of a patient at the age of 3,5 months for whom manual therapy was indicated.

Myofascial headaches causes and physiotherapy treatment option

This bachelor thesis is written in form of background research. The aim of this study was to summarize types of myofascial headaches, causes and treatment options in the field of physical therapy. This thesis focuses as well on comparsion of recent foreign scientific studies concerned with nonfarmacological treatment of headaches in general. First part of the thesis describes forms of headaches, mostly treatable with physical therapy. One chapter is dedicated to myofascial trigger points. In the other part physical therapy treatments are explained and compared individually, enumeration of physical therapy techniques, which are used and signifi cantly effect live in treatments of headaches as migraine, tension type headache and cervigenic headache. Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient following total knee replacement Abstract: The aim of the thesis is to present the physiotherapy given to a patient with stiffness after an atypical total knee replacement procedure. The work consists of a general part and a special part. The general part aims to explain this particular case of total knee replacement from a theoretical point of view. The goal of the special part is to present physiotherapy as treatment, it's conduction and results. Method: One female patient (b. 1958) with chronic stiffness following total knee replacement was selected and gave consent to take part in the case study. A copy of the form of consent can be found in the appendix at the end of this thesis. Clinical examination, therapy and progress evaluation took place at Rehabilitation Clinic Malvazinky from 21.01.14 to 31.01.14 under the supervision of Mgr. Hana Zemlerová. Utilities used in examination and treatment included treatment table, measuring tape, neurologic hammer, goniometer, overball, big balls, bosu balls, spiked balls, supportive pillows, stationary bicycle and mats.
